Centennial

From 2001 over 100,000 people call it home

In order to unite unorganized portions of Arapahoe County and prevent further annexations by Greenwood Village, Centennial became a city in Colorado in 2001. Over 100,000 people call it home, and the city is approximately 30 square miles in size. Centennial is home to several significant employers, such as Oppenheimer Funds, Comcast, United Launch Alliance, and US Foods, despite its identity dilemma. Centennial still struggles to be recognized because several of its neighborhoods are still identified by their zip codes as being in Littleton, Aurora, or even Englewood. Additionally, it is where Colorado's first IKEA store is located.
