Castle Rock

one of the best places to live in the country

Castle Rock, which began as a little neighborhood south of Denver, has grown into a vibrant neighborhood with over 60,000 residents and has been named one of the best places to live in the country by Money Magazine.  A 33 square mile area, Castle Rock is home to "The Rock," a rhyolite structure that stands in the center of the city. The community features numerous new residences and numerous housing projects, which are located on both sides of I-25. To accommodate growth on the north end and relieve congestion at the Meadows Parkway, the state was compelled to build a new interstate interchange on I-25. Castle Rock is also home to the beautiful Castlewood Canyon State Park and 75 miles of hiking trails, 20 developed parks, 5,800 acres of open space, an 84,000 square foot recreation center, and the 60,000 square foot Miller Activity Complex at Philip S. Miller Park.
